We've had a fantastic time! Everything has far exceeded our expectations.. the location, the house, the area, the many things to do..all superb!!
The cottage is very well equipped & so cosy - cracking woodburner!!
This is our first time in S.W. Scotland - but certainlky won't be our last. Thank you so much for the the wine & shortbread & eggs - all went down very well!! Hope to see you again soon!

Relaxed, relaxed, relaxed that's how all three of us are going home. Lots to see and do even in the "winter season" and most places take dogs. Cafe Cree Newton Stewart was one such place, food fab and Tara was very welcome as well. Jim & Gail have made Craigshall Cottage so comfortable we didn't feel the need to go out. Logs burning, good movie on the DVD, glass of wine, dog asleep on the rug. How could you get more relaxed? Thank you Jim & Gail for creating this lovely space.

Fab cottage - even better than the photos on the website!! The boys loved racing through the massive lounge/dining room. Scenery is wonderful, even in the rain! Had a v. scary walk along the cliff path at Balcary - OMG!!! Thanks to Gail for the warm welcome and the lovely goodies - wine went down a little too well! Shall be recommending to anyone who'll listen.

(P.S. Have never met such lovely villagers!)

The cottage is unbelievable! The welcome and the hospitality has been second to none! Everything you could ask for is right on your doorstep. We have had three days of sunshine and this has lead to the perfect holiday. I cannot recommend this highly enough! We will definitely be back. Many thanks.

Had a fantastic break with 5 days of wall-to-wall sunshine! The house is beautiful. Enjoyed walking from the door - the views! Recommend the Red Haven beach and walk up Screel + Balcary Bay walk along cliffs. Hope to be back!

Weather could have been better but not the cottage - absolutely fabulous. Lovely greeting and smashing (omelettes) eggs. Lovely and cosy on a wet and windy night. Hope to return soon!!

When we arrived, what a surprise, greeted by wine & flowers, a homely log fire, everything spick and span. Bedrooms a delight, bed linen spotlessly clean. What a welcome by Jim and Gail. Every detail carefully thought through even to 12 freshly laid eggs for breakfast (they were delicious). Thank you for a perfect, relaxing break. We will be back and certainly recommend you to many of our friends. Good luck for this new venture.

When we arrived we were greeted by Gail & Jim whoe made us feel most welcome. Beds were very comfortable, the accommodation was comfortable and very clean and warm. The weather was very good for the time of year.

We are sorry that our week has gone by so quickly. We will certainly recommend to all our friends.

Wonderful place, steeped in natural beauty, very olde worlde! Feel like you've gone back in time.
The owners have thought of everything! And a very stylish place too!
