- Tariff. The property is either rented for a full week (seven nights) for the weekly rental or is offered on a 'Short Break' Mon-Fri or Fri-Mon or any available three day period. Rentals for fewer days than a 3 day short break will be charged at the short break rate. Both charges are published on the website.
- Linen. Bed linen is provided, all beds have pillows and duvets with cover. Also included are towels, beach towels and tea towels.
- Very Young Children. Are most welcome. A cot and high chair are provided. Cot linen is also provided.
- Number of Occupants. Craigshall Cottage has two bedrooms; one double (with cot space) and one large, twin room. The twin room has upto four, full size single beds.
- Care of Accommodation. The tenant agrees to leave the property and surroundings in a clean and tidy condition ready for next occupants with all refuse disposed of in the sacks provided.
- Pets. We are happy to welcome well behaved pets. We have two, friendly Labradors. There is an additional charge of £10/dog/booking to cover extra cleaning costs.
- No Smoking. We do not allow smoking in the cottage. If you wish to smoke, please do so outside.
- Provisions. There is a shop in the village providing the basics. Food shopping is a real treat in Castle Douglas Food Town. Over 50 independent businesses offer a tempting selection of the finest foods from near and far. There is also a Tesco and Co-op.
- Duration of Bookings. Holiday cottage rentals are per week from 4.00pm Saturday to 10.00am the following Saturday. Unless on a 'short break' when the rental is 'Start Day' 4PM to 'End Day' 10AM.
- Energy. Electricity and one basket of logs for the wood burner are provided.
- Breakages. Any breakages or damages to equipment or furnishings must be reported to the owners and will be charged for at replacement value.
- Deposits. A deposit of 25% is required to secure your booking. This should be received within seven (7) days of the booking. The balance is due without further reminder a minimum of 8 weeks before occupation.
- Cancellation. If you cancel, for any reason, more than 8 weeks before the due date of occupation we will retain your 25% deposit. If you cancel, for any reason, less than 8 weeks before the due date of occupation we will retain deposit and balance. The balance will be refunded in the event that the booked period can be relet. WE STRONGLY ADVISE THAT YOU TAKE OUT INSURANCE TO COVER THE BOOKING CHARGES.
- If booking with a discount voucher, the voucher number MUST appear on this form to be valid.
